This is a VR escape game. Our team wanted to let player know VanGogh's story during playing the game. When we designed the game, we went to library to check the true content of letters written by VanGogh. We also combined lots of puzzle and hints based on VanGogh's paintings.
My role
In this game, I was first time in charge of programming individually. Moreover, I also contributed my idea to design this game.

Interactive VR News of Offshore Wind Turbine
Description
This is a VR news game talking about the offshore wind turbines, which is a very hot topic in Taiwan. We hoped to use VR to explore the pros and cons of the whole issue from a first-person perspective. Most people think that green energy is great, however, they don’t see the negative impact of building offshore wind turbine on fishery, environment and engineering.
At last, we hosted an exhibition in Huashan Creative Park and there were almost 400 people to experience our project during the 3 days which were reported on National News.

My Role
In the process, I was responsible for the piling task of the engineering ship. How to simulate the physical characteristics of the entire piling through Unity.
In the process of the exhibition, I not only helped VR production, conducted interviews in advance, worked on preparation work, but also monitored four days of work in the exhibition, all of which gave me the ultimate experience in the comprehensive operation on VR presentation.
What I have learned
After experiencing the game, many users said it changed their view of offshore wind turbines because they saw the harm the turbines are for Chinese white dolphin, depriving them from living safely. Therefore, I confirmed that VR is a successful media to deliver knowledge.
Liberary
Description
This is a RPG game talking about Intellectual Freedom. We created this game to allow people to understand the core value of library, and the relationship between Library and Information Science.
The background of the game was in the time of Galileo Galilei, and we showed through the game, that how horrible it would be if we didn’t have intellectual freedom.
My Role
In the process, because the three people in our group are all students in department of library and information science, we decided to do a game to explain the freedom of knowledge, let everyone know the valuables of the library, and then we decided the theme and script together.
Finally, in the implementation, I was responsible for writing the details of the script, introducing the dialogue system Fungus, and also using Github for version control in the process.
What I have Learned
I was very excited when the final result was published, and our game was praised as the most content-oriented game on the scene.
And the special screenwriter for the Philosophic Love played our game and gave some advice to us. She said that our script may not be enticing enough, but it is a very meaningful game, which makes me feel that I have benefited a lot. I realized that I have to complement the game with more enticing storytelling plots.

Agricultural Game
Description
This is a serious game talking about the knowledge of rooster and eggs. In the AR course, we will think about how AR's technology can achieve the role of the museum and help the museum's exhibit content to interact more closely with the audience.
My Role
In the process, we did a detailed study on the knowledge of pheasants and eggs, including searching for literature and asking experts and scholars, as well as understanding the relevant instruments.
Then, based on the knowledge gained, we extract the most important details of the knowledge and try to integrate it into the game so that the game can achieve educational and entertaining effects.
What I have learned
I think this is the first time I use the game as a medium to convey knowledge. Although I don't think it has reached the level of my ideal educational game, because it is not interesting enough. However, it is my first time to understand the details and accuracy of educational games should not to be ignored.
This is a cooperative escape game. Inspired by these real-world situations, we designed Human and Dog, featuring two protagonists: one being a human, and the other being a dog. Each of them has asymmetric advantages that can be utilized to solve certain tasks and communicates with each other through unequal communicative capabilities.
My Role
In the process, because we want to study the unequal communication mode between people and dogs, we discuss how to do the puzzle better, in order to achieve the unequal ability and information between people and dogs.
After the discussion, we will use Unity to complete the level. The level's answer can be seen by the dog, but people can't see. In the process, the dog needs to match the element table with the playing card to tell the person, let People can enter a password to the computer to complete the level.
After the end, I also help conduct user testing. When I discover users have their own creative way to play and communicate with each other, I found that how people communicate with each other is also a interesting topic to research.

Tencent Video App Usability Testing
Motivation
This is a usability testing for Tencent video app. The purpose of this research is to understand how the target group uses Tencent video app and the pleasant experience or difficulties generated during use to help improve future design.
Values and Views
After finishing usability testing, we summarized four problems of this video app.
(1)Information architecture is confusing and has bad hierarchy that makes users hard to find information.
(2)Because of different idioms in China and Taiwan, some words in this app would make user misunderstand.
(3)System feedback is not clear when users wanted to download videos or found saving videos.
(4)Insufficient information provided by the app when the users wanted to know the authority of the video.
Research Process
What I have learned
This is the first time I have used the usability test. In the process, I learned how to completely evaluate the quality of a design, and how to set a complete test task for the purpose of my test, and how to perform it well.
I also learned that interviewers actually have a lot of details to pay attention to. Interviewers must try to stay neutral in the process, and do not over-guide users to give the answers we want.
This is a prototype for bus reminder. When I took the course, Human Computer Interaction, my team found that people sometimes miss buses because they are too focused on cellphones.
We observed pedestrians and verified some issues by questionnaires. Based on users’ opinions, we designed “Cue Card”, which integrates light and vibration reminders into original bus cards. In addition to prototyping card’s interface, I also created an Arduino version. After user testing, we published a poster in 2016 TAICHI conference. See publication
